| History of Brentwood Arts Council
About us
About fifty Arts organisations make up the body known as Brentwood Arts. Titled in full, Brentwood Arts Council is a registered charity regulated by the Charity Commission and governed by a Committee. The Committee is elected by the two Arts Council representatives from each affiliated organisation and includes a representative nominated by the Borough Council.
The member organisations make up a range of societies interested in promoting Music, Drama, Visual Arts and Heritage in Brentwood. Brentwood Arts exists to foster and coordinate activities in these fields and to distribute funds granted for this purpose by the Borough Council.
Member organisations are encouraged to provide the webmaster with information about their events. They are also encouraged to look closely at the Anti-clash Diary to reduce the possibility of events taking place on the same dates. This is particularly relevant to the performing societies who are in the main addressing similar sections of Brentwood's population as clashes harm all of the societies which perform on the same dates.
